Dedicated Professionals

All our physiotherapists are registered to practise in Canada and are qualified to provide safe and effective physiotherapy.

Ruth Zehnder graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1990 where she received the Joan Eaton Memorial Orthopedic Award in her final year. Since graduation she honed her skills in several private orthopedic clinics prior to establishing Invermere Physiotherapy Clinic in 1995 along with her business partner.

She is certified in advanced dry needling techniques and is a highly skilled manual therapist. Although she enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions, Ruth has a special interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy.

She prides herself in empathetic, personalized patient care and is always learning more about how the body works so she can help her patients function and feel their best. Her hobbies include singing, hiking, skiing and travelling the world, but her biggest achievement has been raising four children alongside her husband.

Gina is a physiotherapist with experience practicing in many varied settings; she graduated with honours from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) in 2008. She is a highly proficient manual therapist and experienced in dry needling.

Gina is dedicated to her profession, her patients and her family. Clinically, she is happy to treat all patients, of all ages, with all musculo-skeletal complaints. She does however have a special interest in treating the young and the old; paediatrics and adult neurology.

She recognises the importance of developing long term relationships with patients and building trust. Taking the time to hear each patient’s story is important, as any part of it can be relevant to their pain and may hold the key to a solution.

She has since gone on to pursue her postgraduate studies in orthopaedic and manual therapy specializing in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Her personalized treatment approach focuses on understanding the cause of the problem for long term healing and to help the patient to reach their goals. Manual therapy, functional dry needling, exercise prescription, taping and education are all a part of her treatment approach.

In her free time, Julie enjoys outdoor activities which include ski-touring, rock climbing and mountain biking.
